Sonar Imaging

Sonar imaging

With the perspective of a new hydro project on Surprise Lake, it is important to understand current wildlife migration patterns to better understand potential hydro project impacts. Grayling is abundant in Surpise lake and it is believed that they are using the current fish ladder to migrate. However, this migration has never been visualized.

We used a DIDSON sonar in order to visualise underwater objects. AtlinTech designed and installed the off-grid system in order to power the entire installation. We also installed and setup the DIDSON sonar. Finally we provided a detailed analysis of DIDSON images using features such as motion detection and Echogram.
